Francis (Frank) Coates III was born in Washington DC to parents Pastor Francis Coates II and Gloria Coates. He started playing the piano at age 5 and studied at Suitland High School for the Performing Arts. He studied music composition and education at University of the Arts in Philadelphia and graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2008. He later earned his Master of Business Administration from University of Maryland University College in 2016.

Frank started his career in music education working for Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia serving as Music Coordinator. In 2010, he left the museum to start a mobile music education company, Learn Listen Play (LLP). LLP provides general music education services to preschools, private & charter schools throughout PA and NJ. You can learn more about LLP by visiting

Frank has performed at popular music venues throughout the country such as the Kimmel Center, Merriam Theatre, and Kennedy Center. In 2009,Frank worked with Director Marcus Thomas on the film “Casting Notice” which was recognized by multiple film festivals around the country. In 2010, he was commissioned by the Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet to compose a 30-minute orchestral piece for Choreographer Kjara Staric.  Although he enjoys composing multiple genres of music, Frank specializes in contemporary and jazz orchestration.

Frank married the love of his life, Rachel, in 2011 and they have two children.

Rev. Dr. Lisa Farrell

Rev. Dr. Lisa C. Farrell was born and raised on the Main Line. She graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1976 and went to Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. While at Franklin and Marshall she won an Andrew Mutch Scholarship, a full merit scholarship from the Saint Andrew’s Society in Philadelphia to attend the University of Edinburgh for her junior year.


Heather Cronan

As the Church Administrator Heather oversees all aspects of the church office including bookkeeping, managing vendors and contractors, scheduling and community communications as well as providing general support to the Pastor. In addition to church operations Heather is heavily involved in pastoral care as well as occasional preaching. Heather is a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary’s Urban Theological Institute with a certification in Christian Ministry. Prior to her employment with Penn Wynne Presbyterian Heather was the Director of Operations for Drug Development Insights, Inc., a pharmaceutical research company. Heather is married with 2 college aged children. She and her family live in Merion Station, PA.
